Our experience with the 1-day training's format

In 2023, Casa hacker facilitated the 1-day training in person and online. In both cases, we had a large group of educators and a very positive feedback.

Online training

In the online version hosted by Casa Hacker, the primary audience consisted of teachers working in formal basic education. Their aim was to incorporate these topics into their school curriculum.

To support their efforts, we provided our slide presentation and a Moodle self-paced review of the content. Teachers from various regions of Brazil participated, but the online format posed some challenges for discussion, and the workshop ultimately resembled a traditional class.

Despite this, the feedback from the educators was positive, and they confirmed that our goal of facilitating their class preparation process was achieved.

In-person meeting

The in-person meeting of this case study was unique in that it involved young people acting as educators. Thus, not only did the workshop expand the concepts through these educators but it also directly impacted the young people themselves.

These young people are part of a collective working on digital inclusion for the elderly in the Campinas region. The meeting was very fruitful, bringing relevant discussions to the participants themselves and placing them in the role of protagonists in learning the concepts. In the future, they will be responsible for disseminating digital well-being.

After the meeting, the young people continued their dissemination efforts through authorial videos, social media posts, and other self-chosen strategies, demonstrating the project's positive impact on youth awareness.
